Capitalism in Transition

Institute of Agricultural Economics - Belgrade and Balkan Scientific Association of Agricultural Economists was co-organizers on the International scientific conference "Capitalism in Transition". Otherwise, a conference was organized by Higher Education Institution for Applied Studies for Entreprenurialship in cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and Student Conference of Serbian Academy of Applied Studies. The conference was held 15.06.2012. in Hotel "Kristal" in Belgrade. Conference participants included researchers, professors, students, professionals from different fields of social sciences, public office holders, NGO representatives, independent experts, union officials and representatives of all other areas of public life.

On April 14th 2012 was holding the 7th International Conference, in Banja Luka, organized by the city of Banja Luka, Business Incubator Banja Luka and NGO Krajina, entitled „CERTIFICATION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS FOR THE EU MARKET”.

Besides the hosts, many experts from Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia, as well as numerous organic products' producers from the Republic of Srpska, were participating at the conference.

The conference was prepared on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of NGO Krajina, which has implemented numerous projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska. In regard to this were awarded the recognitions and letters of thanks.

On this occasion, the Republic of Srpska, the city of Banja Luka and NGO Krajina have awarded Professor Drago Cvijanovic, PhD, director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics – Belgrade, with a Special Acknowledgement for improvement of rural development of the Republic of Srpska.

This special acknowledgement was handed to Professor Drago Cvijanovic, PhD, by Fuad Turalic, PhD, the president of the NGO Krajina Banja Luka Administrative Board.

FIRST INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND SEVENTEENTH SCIENTIFIC-PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE OF AGRONOMISTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA

The Faculty of Agriculture, University in Banja Luka, in cooperation with the Biotechnical Faculty, University in Ljubljana,

was organized the „FIRST INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM AND SEVENTEENTH SCIENTIFIC-PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE OF AGRONOMISTS OF THE

REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA“, which was held in Trebinje, from 19-22nd March 2012.

The sponsors of the symposium were the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Srpska.

The Institute of Agricultural Economics Belgrade, together with 35 domestic and foreign institutions was organized the international scientific meeting, which represented the results of the research on the project III – 46006 “Sustainable agriculture and rural development in terms of the Republic of Serbia strategic goals' implementation within the Danube region”, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia.

In organization of the Fair city Trebinje, Republic of Srpska; Institute of Agricultural Economics from Belgrade, Serbia; Institute of Research in Agrarian Economics and Rural Development, Bucharest, Romania; Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Agro-Food and Environmental Economics, Bucharest, Romania; Petroleum – Gas University of Ploiesti, Faculty of Economic Sciences, Romania and Balkan Association of Agricultural Economists, Belgrade, Serbia, was held VI international scientific meeting “Tourism and rural development – modern tendencies, problems and developmental possibilities”, in Trebinje, 7-8th October 2011.

Organized by the Academy of Economic Sciences from Bucharest, Faculty of Economics, Agricultural Food and Environmental Protection from Bucharest, the Advisory Centre for Analysis and Regional Policy from Bucharest, the Institute of Agricultural Economics from Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade University, Institute of Economy of Agriculture and Rural Development from Bucharest between 24 to 25th September 2010, held an international conference titled: "The Competitiveness of the Economy of Agricultural Food and Rural Development in Terms of the Global Crisis"

SIGNING OF THE COOPERATION CONTRACT BETWEEN IAE AND STAVROPOL STATE AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY - RUSSIAN FEDERATION AND ATTENDANCE OF THE CONFERENCE "MODERN PROBLEMS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT"

Delegation from the Institute of agricultural economics Belgrade, consisting of Prof. dr Drago Cvijanović, director of the Institute and Marko Jeločnik, researcher associate, was in short visit in Stavropol, Russian Federation, during the period 15-16, Jun 2010.

Delegation from the Institute of agricultural economics Belgrade, consisting of Professor dr Drago Cvijanović, director of the Institute and Marko Jeločnik, researcher associate, together with associate member Professor dr Grigorije Trifunović, president of council of Faculty of agriculture Belgrade, was in short visit in Saratov, Russian Federation, during the period 17-19 May 2010.

Attending to International Scientific Meeting “Competitiveness of agricultural economics and rural development in conditions of world economic crisis”, which was held in Bucharest 25-26.09.2009. .

Delegation from Serbia visited Macedonia, i.e. the Institute for Tobacco in Prilep, on 9th September 2009. The hosts were Professor Kiril Filiposki, Ph.D., director of the Institute, and Professor Mile Peševski, Ph.D., from Faculty of Agriculture and Food – Skopje.
Serbian delegation was consisted of Professor Drago Cvijanović, Ph.D., director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics – Belgrade, and dean of Faculty of Agriculture – Zemun, Professor Nebojša Ralević, Ph.D., as well as professors from Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun: Professor Dragić Živković, Ph.D., director of Agro-economic Department, Professor Ivana Ralević-Ljubenović, Ph.D., and Professor Sreten Jelić, Ph.D.

The agreement on scientific-business cooperation came as a result of this fruitful visit. The cooperation will emanate in following directions:

Making mutual projects,
Mutual publishing,
Organization of scientific meetings in the county and abroad, as well as many other activities.
