Institute of Agricultural Economics has organized the international scientific meeting “Multifunctional agriculture and rural development II – preservation of rural values” on 6-7th 2007, in Beočin.
The meeting was organized in cooperation with:

- Banat University of Agricultural Sciences, Timisoara
- Balkan Environmental Association (B.EN.A.), Thessaloniki
Themes represented in the meeting were dedicated to ethno- and eco – aspect of agriculture’s multifunctional development, starting from production of organic products and their contribution to health preservation, through evidence of number of activities, which make segments of agriculture’s multifunctional development.
The papers presented in the meeting were classed in six sections:
- Ethno – food
- Ethno – tourism
- Ethno – landscape
- Ethno – architecture
- Ethno – customs and valuation system
- Comparative experiences in agriculture and rural economy
In the meeting were represented 137 papers (66 domestic and 71 foreign), prepared by experts from public institutions, high-educational and scientific institutions, as well as firms from Serbia, Republic Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Moldova, Macedonia, Slovenia, Italy, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Poland.
The most papers represented in the meeting are integral part of research on project 149007 “Multifunctional agriculture and rural development in function of Republic of Serbia’s accession to EU”, which has realized in period 2006-2010.
